A Berry Nice Walk

Seth and I have been in hardcore recovery mode since getting home from Impulse Monday night. We've taken small steps to clean up the Ouse and unload the truck, but mostly I've been working on "post-production" online and Seth's been doing yard work.

It's been hot...in the high 80s and even low 90s all week long.
Today Seth and I went no a "Berry Walk" around the farm, which was wonderful and incredibly rewarding.

First stop, the blackberries that are just barely beginning to ripen. Blackberries are my favorite!!

We also have just a few red raspberries growing in the back yard. The raspberries are Seth's favorite. Right next to the raspberries the most beautiful tiger lilies are growing.

Then down the road a little ways to the ripening dewberries (!) and just a few blueberries, which overall need a week or so to really ripen, though we did find a small patch.

Last stop: the big black raspberry patch on the path to what will be Seth's and my sunken garden by the creek.

We each ate a healthy serving of berries on our little trek. Now we're relaxing on the couch, out of the sun, watching Breaking Bad season 4. Life is good in Rock Camp!
