I was able to interview Pink Moon
returners, Moogatu. The members include Brian Raubacher, Brian Dodds, Brian
Zupruk, Chris Lee, and Steve Jacyna who have all been playing music
most of their lives.
The band played their first show in July of 2011
in Aldie, Virginia at Quail Ridge Lake and have been together for
about a year and a half with their current members. The background
behind the name selection was too long of a story for them to
elaborate upon and was basically a “stupid name that stuck.”
Moogatu is touring many great shows this fall including Pink Moon
Festival V, supporting Dopapod and Zoogma, performing at the 8x10 on
Halloween with Freedom Enterprise in addition to shows with Big
Something and DeltaNINE at the 8x10 as well. Moogatu played a late
night set at 4 a.m. last year at Pink Moon Festival IV, so be sure to
catch their set this year as well!
